With February 20 approaching, we’ve seen a number of leaks for the Galaxy S10 that suggests Samsung will be moving away from the traditional rear-mounted fingerprint sensor in favor of an in-display one.
The various renders that have leaked on the internet so far showing the Galaxy S10 have all been absent a fingerprint sensor on the rear. However, the existence of the in-display fingerprint sensor has never been actually confirmed by the leaked renders, that is until now.
The leaked image clearly shows the image that indicates where to place your finger to trigger the in-display sensor, which for anyone that has used the OnePlus 6T, or any other device with a similar setup, would be familiar with. While not revolutionary, it does indicate the S10 will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and can finally put an end to the speculation.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e at its Unpacked event on February 20 in San Francisco.
